The joint venture started working on the development of the Hai Long offshore wind project last year.

The Hai Long development will incorporate building two offshore wind farms, one with a capacity of 700MW and another one of 500MW.

Both offshore wind farms will use 6-8MW offshore wind turbines.

The first wind farm will have an installed capacity of approximately 700MW. Once all consents have been received, construction will commence on the build out of the project, Yushan Energy states on its website.

The 500MW project is expected to enter the construction phase from 2022 onward and will comprise 90-105 wind turbines.
