The remaining two meetings will take place at Lowestoft Victoria Hotel in Lowestoft on 1 November and at Orford Town Hall in Orford on 2 November.

The members of the project team will be available between 12pm and 7pm local time to answer questions about the two new projects.

East Anglia TWO is located approximately 31 kilometres from Lowestoft, and covers an area of 257km2. Initial studies have indicated a potential generating capacity of up to 800MW, and a planning application could be submitted in 2019.

The East Anglia ONE North project could also have a capacity of up to 800MW and is located approximately 36km off the coast, covering an area of 209km2. A planning application could be submitted in 2020.

SPR is also the developer of the 1.2GW East Anglia THREE offshore wind farm, which will comprise up to 172 wind turbines installed across an area of 305km² off the coast of Suffolk in the southern North Sea. It is anticipated that onshore construction could begin in 2021, with offshore work starting in 2022 and first power generation achieved in 2023, subject to the government’s approval.
