Narec Appoints New Non-Executive Chairman (UK)

The National Renewable Energy Centre (Narec) has appointed Trevor Murch as its new Non-Executive Chairman. Trevor took up his position on the 1st December, taking over from Alan Rutherford who steps down after 6 years as Chairman.

An Oxford University graduate, Harvard Business School MBA and qualified accountant, Trevor brings to the role over thirty years of experience as a senior executive, managing high-value global businesses in the energy, engineering and aerospace industries.

On his appointment Trevor Murch, Chairman of Narec, said:

“This is an extremely exciting time to be joining the Narec team. New world leading testing facilities are nearing completion and must be integrated into the business. I will work to ensure that Narec punches its weight in the growing global market place for offshore renewables to deliver maximum economic benefit for the UK.”
