Scottish Renewable Energy Targets Possible, Says CEO of NgenTec223

Dr Makhlouf Benatmane, CEO of supplier of direct drive and slow speed permanent magnet generators NgenTec, said that the Scotland can meet its renewable energy targets.

Scotland showed its potential at EWEA’s event.

EWEA Offshore 2011 was the largest event in the offshore wind industry, with more than 480 exhibitors, and 8,200 visitors.

Mr. Benatmane met with turbine manufacturers at the event, and saw that they offer a lot of new business opportunities.

Acording to the report published in May 2010, Scotland has 206 GW of offshore wind, wave and tidal resources – almost 40% of the total UK resource and greater than previously assessed.
