Germany: CTC Marine Bags Multi-Million Pound Contract for Dolwin 1

CTC Marine Projects, Ltd, part of DeepOcean Group Holding AS, has announced its multi-million pound contract award for Dolwin 1, Germany.

The workscope, for client EMAS AMC, will include the trenching of 62.34 kilometres of a bundled HVDC power cable from 14 metres water depth and trenching of a power cable from Dolwin Alpha West Platform to Borkum West II Platform.

CTC will mobilise its new industry leading integrated trenching spread for this project, consisting of the converted Northern Wave vessel, equipped with T2 trencher upgraded to three metre jetting capability and a deck‐fed system. It will also be supported by CTC’s 1.5 Mega Watt jet trencher, PT-1. This complete trenching package provides the ideal trenching solution from a single platform.

Tony Inglis, CTC’s Managing Director, comments on the project award, “We are extremely pleased to have secured this project with EMAS AMC, which will see our new integrated trenching spread working in the Germany sector of the North Sea.”

The project is expected to commence in field in mid-late September.
