Planning Inspectorate to Consider North Lincolnshire Energy Park Plans

The proposal by Able UK to build around 1,700 metre long quay near East Nalton will be examined by three inspectors, according to Scunthorpe.

The site will include transport depots, warehousing, external storage areas, offices, a business park and motel along with energy developments.

Even though the planning application was accepted in January by Infrastructure Planning Commission, Planning Inspectorate will consider this application as well due to a change in responsibility for national infrastructure planning.

Sir Michael Pitt, chief executive of the Planning Inspectorate, said: “The panel that has been appointed will now examine this application in a fair and impartial manner.

“They will use the representations submitted to identify the principal issues for the examination of the application.”

Immingham Town Council’s Civic Centre will host a preliminary meeting on May 24.
