PMSS Appoints New EHS Consultant Focused on USA Offshore Wind Sector

Tanjia Maynard has been appointed as an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Consultant for renewable energy consulting firm PMSS’ North America business unit with immediate effect.

By appointing Tanjia Maynard as an EHS Consultant; PMSS is continuing to expand its business activities in the North America renewable energy market, and in particular in the field of environmental and health & safety services. Tanjia’s primary focus will be on the developing offshore wind sector, but she will also play a key role in other service streams including consulting services and due diligence for terrestrial wind and wave & tidal energy projects.

Maynard, a graduate in Geology from The State University of New York (SUNY), who also holds an Associate in Science Degree and a range of EHS and OSHA training and qualifications has over 10 years experience in environmental consulting, EHS management and project management.

After a period of 4 years working as a project manager at fortune 500 company Shaw Group in their Environmental & Infrastructure business, Maynard moved into a senior management position at Aztech Technologies where she was responsible for health & safety and business development. In 2010, Maynard moved to renewable energy consultancy – AWS Truepower, where she has been working as an Offshore Wind Project Manager.

Maynard is a member of the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) Offshore Wind Health & Safety Subcommittee, and has been a strong advocate for offshore wind safety for a number of years, helping to develop standards and EHS best practice for the US offshore sector.
