MPI Adventure to Arrive to Port of Tyne (UK)

MPI Adventure, a wind turbine installation vessel commissioned by the National Renewable Energy Centre (Narec), is expected to arrive to the Port of Tyne today, The Journal informs.

The vessel was launched from MPI Offshore’s base in Middlesbrough to collect a 750-tonne Met Mast, which will take about 18 hours.

MPI Adventure is scheduled to head towards its final destination later this week, when the Met Mast will be installed off the Blyth coast and measure the wind resource for the proposed Blyth Offshore Wind Demonstration Site.
