UK: Engineering Services Required for Port of Dundee

The Port of Dundee is experiencing high levels of investment demand from manufacturers in the offshore wind sector. Scottish Enterprise, together with Forth Ports, are considering options for the development of the Port of Dundee to maximise these opportunities.

One component of this is the potential expansion of the Port through a programme of land reclamation. A component of this is the potential expansion of the Port, through land reclamation. Prefeasibility and a Stage 1 Preliminary Design Assessment has been carried out.

The current proposal resulting form the preceding design work is for the creation of 30 acres of land incorporating a quay edge utilising marine won aggregates. This commission seeks to further develop this design to ACE3 Outline Design stage. Scottish Enterprise anticipates the contract will commence in April 2013 and run till December 2013. NEC3 Professional Services contract will be used for this commission.

Suppliers must register their interest in this contract opportunity through the Public Contracts Scotland (PCS) procurement portal. The pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) documentation is availabe for download from there once registered/logged in. Estimated date for release of tender documents is February 27, 2013.
