Electro-Tech Set for Ambitious Growth in Enterprise Zone (UK)

This week, Electro-tech, a specialist source and supply company servicing the energy sector, is moving into the Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft Enterprise Zone, created by the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership.

Electro-tech offers UK and global clients a simple and cost effective way to purchase goods from one supplier. Items range from audio cables to welding machines and clients include supply vessels, offshore platforms, oil refineries, power stations and wind farms.

New Anglia helps to grow jobs and remove the barriers to business growth in Suffolk and Norfolk. The Enterprise Zone, part of the East of England Energy Zone, is based across 6 sites in Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth. It provides a range of benefits for energy-related businesses to help them grow. These include:

• a discount on business rates of up to £275,000
• simplified planning
• super-fast broadband

Electro-tech is moving to new premises on the Enterprise Zone at the Beacon Park site developed by local company Wellington Construction.

“We’ve already recruited an extra three people, so employ nine in total, but our new premises in the Enterprise Zone are around 10 times bigger than our current premises. We’ve got ambitious plans for expansion.”

There will be over £50 billion capital expenditure invested in the East of England Energy Zone over the next 20 years in:

– offshore wind farms including the massive East Anglia Array

– oil and gas exploration and extraction

– nuclear – new build and decommissioning

– gas storage and platform decommissioning
