AllCon Signs Contract for Big Offshore Wind Job (Germany)

AllCon GmbH announced that one of the world’s largest manufacturers of offshore wind turbines has selected it to provide a long-term staff support of 35 service technicians for the installation of its 3.6 MW turbines at three projects in the North and Baltic Seas.

The contract duration was initially envisaged to last until 30th November 2014, but it will probably be extended with a double-capacity until 2017 and will allow entering into further projects.

The company had prepared in the past for tasks on the water and undertook the initial staffing operations already in 2011 at the Baltic I wind farm. This was followed by operations in the construction and maintenance of offshore wind turbines from different manufacturers in the European waters.

The first group of service technicians will complete their 3-week training cycle at the end of this week and are already looking forward to board their ships next week at the German North Sea coast heading for a job at the future wind farms. Fully equipped with brand new personal protective equipment and the necessary offshore equipment, they are eager to put their skills and their professional qualification in customer service to the test.
