Germany: OMWINDENERGY 2013 - New International Meeting Place for Wind Market Services

Under the motto “Professional Solutions for the Operation and Maintenance in the International Wind Industry”, OMWINDENERGY 2013 Germany is inviting interested parties to attend an international dialogue to be held in Berlin on October 8-9.

The market is changing: more and more companies from the wind industry recognize the strategic importance of the after-sales market. Challenges are growing too;  according to the German Wind Energy Association 23,030 wind turbines produced around 31,000 MW of electricity in Germany alone last year.

In the wind energy sector, one of the fastest growing and most dynamic economic areas in Germany and Europe, demand for technical support services such as maintenance and repair is increasing: “It is expected that the volume of the European wind services market of 2.3 billion euros in 2011 will grow up to 4.5 billion euros in 2020,” Taylor Wessing and Deloitte outline in their European wind service study.

The international OMWINDENERGY 2013 Conference and Exhibition in Berlin relies on the international dialogue and learning process. The partner country of the 2013 event is the Great Britain. In addition, country sessions on the O&M market will be held in Denmark, France, USA and Canada.

With the dialogue between the established and the new wind markets in certain countries OMWINDENERGY 2013 paves the way for expansion of business activities.
