Tidal Energy Limited announces that Converteam UK Ltd has been awarded the contract for the design, manufacture and supply of the electrical power generation and conversion equipment forming part of the demonstration DeltaStream device.
The contractor’s scope of work will include the design and supply of the 1.2 MW, 11kV electrical power system, from the on-device generators to the point of grid connection. This will include three 400kW, 11kV generators, a full suite of shore side power conditioning equipment (switchgear, transformers and power conversion units), and the control and monitoring equipment.
