UK: Hutton's Merges to Advance Offshore Supply Chain

Hutton’s, the UK’s leading ship supplier, is to merge with Harbour Chandlery Marine Services (HCMS) and in that way advance its offshore industry supply chain.

Harbour Chandlery Marine Services is a Norfolk-based specialist supplier of commercial services to the offshore industry. The company will not to be renamed, however, it will be known as a Hutton’s division, informs the Offshore Shipping Online in the news.

HCMS supports the vessels working on Sherringham Shoal, London Array, Walney and the Lincs Offshore Wind Farm. Some of its customers are Dong Energy, E.ON, Warwick Energy, Scira and Statoil.

Rob Ludlam, who will manage the new Hutton’s division, said: “These are exciting times for us. Joining the number one ship supplier in the UK will open new supply opportunities for our joint venture and having the extensive Hutton’s branch network behind us will ensure a rapid delivery response for our customers.”
