Natural Power Appoints New Head of Operational Systems International renewable energy consultancy Natural Power has recently appointed Graham Gow as Head of Operational Systems.

Since its foundations, Natural Power has succeeded in growing its offerings strategically to become a leading ‘360-degree’ renewable energy consultancy and products provider, across the onshore wind, offshore wind, wave, tidal and biomass sectors. The company now operates in 11 offices across three continents and employs over 270 renewable energy experts.

Specifically in the area of Asset Management Natural Power have established a world class set of integrated services, including WindCentre, the industry’s first 24/7 independent operational wind farm control room, ForeSite, its proven wind farm output forecasting system, and WindManager, an integrated system for wind farm and portfolio management. The company presently provides a range of Asset Management services to 23% of the UK’s installed onshore wind capacity.

Graham brings a wealth of industry experience to Natural Power, having worked in wind energy with GL-Garrad Hassan for almost two decades. He initially worked on machine and blade design, and fatigue lifetime analysis before moving into a more strategic role, carrying out small and large scale resource assessments and cost/resource analyses for the integration of various renewable energy technologies. Graham brings specific experience to his new role having been previously involved in the development of wind power forecasting services, and wind farm SCADA and operational performance data analysis solutions.

Graham’s new role will see him taking responsibility for the delivery and integration of software development activities throughout Natural Power.
