The Bremerhaven company Wind MW has awarded a contract to Seajacks to install 80 wind turbines for the “Sea Wind” wind farm off Helgoland. Since August 29 the wind turbine components have been handled at the Cuxhaven.
The wind farms “Meerwind Süd“ and “Meerwind Ost“, which are operated as combined offshore wind farm ”Meerwind Süd/Ost“, will be completed by 2013.
The 80 turbines with a capacity of 3.6 MW will be located 23 kilometers north of the island of Helgoland.
