GRS German Renewables Shipbrokers, Marineco and Sure Wind announce the Sale of Marineco Shamal to Sure Wind this 1st of July 2013.
GRS has developed and arranged the sale of Marineco Shamal from UK based Marineco to UK based Sure Wind Marine. The delivery took place on the 1st of July 2013 and the vessel will continue a charter with a German client under its new name Sure Shamal.
Marineco was the first customer to buy from Damen the Twin Axe FCS2610 design, who has proven over the last two and a half years its outstanding performance within the offshore wind industry. The Marineco Shamal, first of its kind, renamed to Sure Shamal, has proven well the success of FCS 2610 design and has a long solid track record within the offshore business. This matches with the excellent track record of the new owner Sure Wind Marine and their existing fleet of CTV trading currently mainly on German Wind Farm projects.
Marineco has been very happy with the proceedings of the sale and with the performance of German Renewables Shipbrokers as well as with the buyers. “I am very happy with Sure Wind as new owners of the Shamal and look forward to doing more business with them” , said Kaye Conafray . “This purchase is part of our response to our customer’s demands for more high quality vessels” , says Sure Wind founder and MD Dominic Abraham.
The contract was concluded thanks to GRS German Renewable Shipbrokers, who accompanied the negotiations over the last few months and established the undisclosed purchase price.
The Sure Shamal is already on charter on a German project – also developed by GRS – which is an example of excellent cooperation between Sure Wind, Marineco and GRS German Renewables Shipbrokers, and as well certainly with the clients in Germany.
