Offshore Recruiter DOHS Celebrates Its 25th Anniversary

Dave Oliver Hydrographic Services Ltd (DOHS Ltd) has placed hydrographic personnel with companies all over the world, including Europe, North America, West Africa, Middle East, Malaysia, Indonesia and Australasia.

As part of its birthday celebrations it will be reuniting with its current and past contractors to create a visual bank of postcards. These will feature photos of projects to show how DOHS Ltd has contributed to the offshore industries. It also plans to pledge to place a further 25 personnel over the next 25 days to celebrate the businesses’ future in the industry.

The company’s founder, Dave Oliver, established the business back in 1989 after he began receiving enquiries about suitable contractors for specific projects. It was then he realised there was a gap in the market for a service partner who could take away the headache of finding qualified contractors and from there DOHS Ltd was born.

It now has a database of over 6000 fully qualified and experienced contractors and industry contacts, with skills in areas such as hydrographic and geotechnical surveys, subsea construction, project management and desktop studies.

Nick Oliver, Dave’s son and current director said: “For 25 years we’ve been helping businesses all over the world to fulfil their contractual obligations. And, we’re excited to see what all the people we’ve placed over the years are up to now.

“We’re asking all our personnel placements, past and present to send us postcards of what they have worked on and what they’re working on right now so we can see just some of the global projects we’ve helped influence.”

Dave Oliver currently has a team of five in-house experts based in Great Yarmouth, who oversee recruitment of qualified personnel for the oil and gas, renewables and fibre optic cable industries.

DOHS Ltd is an ISO registered company and is a member of the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA), the trade association representing offshore, marine and underwater engineering firms and FPAL the approved supplier database to the Oil and Gas industry.
