Trump Will Not Stop Fighting EOWDC Plans

Donald Trump arrived in Aberdeen yesterday and once again vowed to fight European Offshore Wind Deployment Centre (EOWDC) in Aberdeen Bay, the STV news site writes.

Trump Will Not Stop Fighting EOWDC Plans

Mr. Trump has been leading a battle against the EOWDC for years, saying that it would ruin the view from his golf course at Menie. He said that the work on his golf resort will not go forward until the EOWDC’s development is stopped.

“As soon as they give up this ridiculous notion of putting these heavily subsidised things out in the harbour we will continue,” STV quotes Mr. Trump as saying.

In April, the Scottish Court of Session rejected Mr. Trump’s objection to the planned GBP 230 million offshore wind farm.

The EOWDC will allow offshore wind farm developers and associated supply chain companies to test new designs, prove existing products and receive independent validation and accreditation before commercial deployment of wind turbines.
