HRH Crown Prince Frederik and Minister for Climate, Energy and Building Rasmus Helveg Petersen will be visiting SSP Technology June 24, 2014.

The company visit is schedule to one hour having a guided tour of SSP Tecnology’s production halls. Currently a 74.4 m. blade as well as moulds and tooling are being produced for the German company Senvion.

Flemming Sørensen, founder and Managing Director states: “At SSP Technology we are really proud that HRH Crown Prince Frederik and Minister for Climate-, energy and buildings Rasmus Helveg Petersen has chosen to visit us. Last year we produced test blades and moulds for the currently world’s longest wind turbine blade of 83.5. m. for a 7 MW offshore wind turbine. This year we are once again producing a really long blade in partnership with Senvion. It has been a very complex project, but the result is a blade that is incredibly cost effective.”

During July the first test blade will be transported to a test facility in the northern part of Denmark. After the first test blade SSP Technology will deliver a prototype blade set, which will be installed on a 6 MW Senvion offshore wind turbine.
