After 10 years’ service with the leading tidal developer Marine Current Turbines Ltd, a Siemens Business (MCT) David Ainsworth will now join Kite Power Solutions Ltd.
Prior to joining MCT David spent 8 years as part of the management team building Bowman Power Systems, who at that time were developing compact gas turbine cogeneration systems using micro-turbines with high speed alternators.
David joined MCT in 2003 as Project Manager, and was responsible for the consenting process for SeaGen and project delivery logistics. SeaGen was installed in 2008 and is still the world’s leading technology demonstrator with over 9GWh of generation.
David has a history of working in research and technology development since graduating from Southampton University. KPS will be the third start up business he will have been involved with in the last 20 years. David said: “ I have thoroughly enjoyed my 10 years at MCT, We have a great team and a great product, I always knew it was going to be a radical and exciting job opportunity to drag me away from MCT, and KPS seems to provide the formula at the time in my life when I can take the risk.
“I was employee number two at both BPS and MCT, so I have a well known appetite for career risk which has provided me nearly 20 years of employment. I truly believe KPS has the same potential as both these businesses. I am really excited by this new prospect and really looking forward to getting involved in this new technology.”

David commenced employment with KPS on 6th October 2014.
