Bladt Upends First Gode Wind TPs

The first transition pieces (TPs) for DONG Energy’s Gode Wind offshore wind farm are now lining up at the harbour at Bladt Industries’ facilities in Aalborg.

Thirteen of the 97 transition pieces are being upended this week by Bladt’s team.

The transition pieces, with a diameter of six meters and a height of approximately 30 meters, will weigh well over 500 tonnes when completed.

Bladt Industries is fabricating the 97 transition pieces in Aalborg, while its subcontractor EEW is fabricating 97 monopiles in Rostock.
