UK diving specialist, Reach Engineering and Diving Services (REDS), is opening a new base in Grimsby.
This comes as a result of a booming offshore wind industry in the city, reports Grimsby Telegraph.
At the 400 square meters leased facility, REDS will set up a new offshore support base.
“We will have three fully containerised dive systems available on a fully manned 24/7 call-out option. We will most likely move our servicing here from Warwickshire, too,” said Ed Woodrow.
According to Woodrow, the new facility will employ two to three employees in the beginning, which could increase to 6 new workers within the first year.
