ESVAGT’s Vessels Towing Gode Wind’s Accommodation Module and Jacket

Heerema Marine Contractors (HMC) has hired the Esvagt Connector and Esvagt Don to tow a floating barge that carries both an accommodation module and jacket from the port of Vlissingen in the Netherlands to the Gode Wind 1 and 2 offshore wind farm site in the German sector of the North Sea.

Work started on the 10th of June and is expected to finish on the 20th of June 2015.

DONG Energy’s Gode Wind 1 and 2 have a permanent accommodation module, which ESVAGT’s vessels are now helping to bring into position.

“ESVAGT has developed a new way of servicing offshore wind farms with its new SOV concept, but that has not stopped the shipping company assisting offshore wind farms that are run in a more traditional way,” the company said.
