CWind’s Borkum Riffgrund 1 Job Expands

Business & Finance

CWind is now providing corrosion protection, latch-way inspections and snagging to Dong Energy at Borkum Riffgrund 1 offshore wind farm, in addition to the temporary power services it supplied earlier this year, the company reported today.

CWind initially commenced work on site back in March this year, providing temporary power to the project. The new work packages were devised in response to current requirements of Dong Energy.

As part of this service, CWind is repairing the paint work of the foundation between splash zone and transition piece using rope access technicians. The campaign includes snagging, inspections and latch-ways replacement.

Stefan Marschner, CWind Sales Manager Germany, said: “CWind benefits from several years of experience in offshore wind farm inspections and corrosion protection in the UK and we are pleased to be able to use this experience to support our clients’ projects in Germany.”
