Game Not Over for Trump

Wind Farm Update

Following the decision by the UK’s Supreme Court to dismiss the appeal by Trump International Golf Club Scotland Ltd, Donald Trump might take the case against the European Offshore Wind Deployment Centre (EOWDC) to European courts, according to BBC.

In June, Trump announced he will take the fight to European courts if he loses in the Supreme Court.

“We will evaluate the court’s decision and continue to fight this proposal on every possible front,” the Daily Mail quotes George Sorial, executive vice president of the Trump Organisation, as saying after the Supreme Court’s verdict.

Trump International Golf Club Scotland first challenged the Scottish ministers’ approval of the project in Scottish courts, where the legal actions were rejected a couple of times, and then appealed to the UK’s Supreme Court.

Donald Trump claims that the wind project off Aberdeenshire coast would ruin the view from his golf course at Menie. “The European Offshore Wind Deployment Centre will completely destroy the bucolic Aberdeen Bay and cast a terrible shadow upon the future of tourism for the area,” Sorial is quoted as saying.
