The new vessel with the Uptime AMC gangway can accommodate up to 40 wind turbine service technicians in addition to 20 vessel crewmembers and will be based in Grimsby, UK, where it will enter service in September 2017. The SOV will be deployed at the Race Bank wind farm operated by Dong Energy.

The SOV is a new design from Rolls Royce, developed in cooperation with Østensjø Rederi and Astilleros Gondan.

The focus in this design has been to increase light cargo logistics, making it possible to bring cargo directly from the storage under deck via an elevator and through the Uptime gangway to the TP/wind turbine.
