SeaPlanner, a UK-based provider of marine monitoring and management solutions and part of the SeaRoc Group, has led a second training session for EMS Maritime Offshore Maritime Coordinators (EMO), utilising their new e-learning platform.

SeaPlanner delivered training for EMO back in April 2015 at their offices in Elsfleth, Germany, however their training is now being provided through SeaPlanner’s online system.

“Our Marine Coordinators have broad experience of VTS and other marine management systems, however it was important for us to harness the strength of the SeaPlanner product and its capabilities,” said Thomas van der Laan, Head of Coordination Services at EMO.

”We have trained with SeaPlanner in the past, however moving the process online was the next step to making ongoing training far more efficient. We’ll definitely continue to use this solution for future delivery of our training.”

SeaPlanner’s e-learning platform is provided via the Induction Module of the software which can be used as part of an integrated system or stand-alone for e-learning and training.

“We were pleased to work with EMO on the marine coordination training and our e-learning tool provided the ideal solution for delivering the material easily and cost-effectively,” SeaPlanner Client Relations Manager Debbie Plumridge said.

EMO was recently chosen to provide a marine coordination team during the construction phase of the 332MW offshore wind farm Nordsee One.
