Seacat Services Sends Freedom to Race Bank

Seacat Services has dispatched the latest addition to its fleet – Seacat Freedom – to DONG Energy’s Race Bank offshore wind project.

The vessel has been deployed on the offshore wind project as part of a two-year, 4-workboat crew transfer deal secured by Seacat Services in April to support DONG Energy’s operation off the UK’s East coast.

Seacat Freedom, for which the official naming ceremony was held at Seawork 2016, is a 23m catamaran built by South Boats IoW on the Isle of Wight.

“Seacat Freedom is a fine addition to our fleet and we have no doubts about her ability to continue to deliver the high standards of reliability and service our clients have come to know and respect,” said Ian Baylis, Managing Director, Seacat Services.

“The continued demand for our support vessels demonstrates the important role which the UK maritime sector plays in large offshore projects both regionally and internationally.”
