The acquisition was subject to the approval of the Federal Cartel Office, which was obtained mid-September, EnBW said.

EnBW expects that by acquiring CWS, the company will be able to reach new customers in the Nordics and Germany, and establish itself as a full-service provider for the planning, construction, operation, maintenance and service of wind farms.

CWS is headquartered in Denmark and has national subsidiaries in Germany and Sweden. The company is an independent service provider for turbine maintenance.

EnBW will keep CWS as an independent brand which will be networked with the activities of EnBW for the further expansion of wind energy.
