Bladt Industries

The final six transition pieces for the 402MW Veja Mate offshore wind farm were delivered to Offshore Windforce M V.O.F. from Bladt Industries’ production facilities in Aalborg at the end of the third quarter of 2016. (Article)

Braveheart Marine

Braveheart Shipping (Braveheart Marine) has contracted Javelin International to build a new vessel, called Javelin 25.25, as Braveheart is further expanding its offshore services in the area of crew tendering, hydrographic and seismological research, and survey activities. (Article)

DeepOcean

DeepOcean has completed 2016 cable route clearance works at Middleton Sands, Haysham, UK, prior to 2017 export cable landfall pull-in operations for DONG Energy’s 660MW Walney Extension offshore wind farm in the Irish Sea. (Article)

Fred. Olsen Windcarrier

Fred. Olsen Ocean’s offshore wind segment, which includes Fred. Olsen Windcarrier and Universal Foundation Norway, reported NOK 428 million operating revenue in the third quarter of 2016, a compared with NOK 254 million in the same period in 2015, mainly due to higher utilisation and rates from the jack-up installation vessels Brave Tern and Bold Tern. Huisman

Lifting, drilling and subsea solutions provider Huisman has secured a contract for the delivery of one 800mt pedestal mounted crane (PMC) to be installed on a wind turbine installation vessel (WTIV) being built by Japan Marine United Corporation (JMU) for Penta-Ocean Construction. (Article)

Jan De Nul

Data buoy manufacturers Ocean Scientific International (OSIL) have recently supplied eight 1.2m buoys to Jan De Nul Group, which will use them on different dredging and renewables projects as platforms for environmental monitoring. (Article)

MPI Offshore

MPI Offshore’s wind-turbine installation vessel (WTIV), MPI Resolution, is currently undergoing installation of leg extensions at the company’s Tees offshore base in Middlesbrough, UK. (Article)

Palfinger Marine

Palfinger Marine has launched a new 3D-compensation module designed for mounting on the company’s knuckle boom, telescopic boom or stiff boom cranes to transfer goods between the service operation vessels (SOVs) and wind turbines or other fixed offshore installations. (Article)

Scaldis Salvage and Marine Contractors

Gulliver, a heavy lift vessel currently under construction for the Antwerp-based Scaldis Salvage & Marine Contractors, has been launched in China. (Article)

SifSmulders

Sif Holding N.V. has won a contract for the production of all 42 monopiles and, in a joint venture with Smulders, the transition pieces for the 309MW Rentel offshore wind farm in the Belgian North Sea. (Article)

Van OordZeeland Seaports

Van Oord and Zeeland Seaports are among 39 Dutch businesses that joined forces in a Transition Coalition to request the Dutch government to draw up climate legislation to implement the agreements reached at the Paris summit. (Article)
