SgurrEnergy Rebrands as Wood Group

Business & Finance

Renewable energy and grid integration consultancy SgurrEnergy will formally rebrand as Wood Group from early May 2017.

SgurrEnergy has been part of Wood Group’s clean energy business since 2010.

The rebrand will support the uniting of Wood Group’s individual businesses, the company said.

Jan Dell, vice president of clean energy, water & climate at Wood Group said: “This provides us with the platform for further international growth. We will continue to leverage Wood Group’s global network of offices and technical resource to enhance delivery of integrated services for renewable energy developers, lenders, investors and operators.”

The consultancy, which recently welcomed Claus Hjoerringgaard as its new director of clean energy, will be moving its headquarters to St Vincent Plaza in Glasgow with an official office launch expected in the summer.

“SgurrEnergy is one of the most respected engineering consultancies in the industry. Although our name may be changing, our philosophy remains the same – creating value for our clients by successfully harnessing the expertise of our highly skilled, multidisciplinary engineering team in the design, delivery and operation of sustainable energy solutions worldwide,” Hjoerringgaard said.
