The purpose of the SMM is to systematically secure site specific measurements of wind, waves, loads, power curves, etc., in order to enable high quality analysis to support decision-making during the entire duration of the development of wind farms.

Having access to the measurement data will help asses site conditions during the development phase and during execution on site, therefore supporting design and operational activities offshore.

As SMM will be the first user of the platform, requirements in this tender are to some extent derived from the needs of SMM.

Maximum five candidates will be pre-qualified for the tender.

The contract will begin on 20 February 2018, and will end on 19 February 2022. It is subject to renewal, with the possibility of extending it 3 times for 12 months.

The deadline for applications is at 13:00 (CEP) on 19 October 2017.

Denmark-based DONG Energy owns and operates 22 offshore wind farms in Europe. The company is primarily focused on renewables, while most activities are based in Northwestern Europe.
