On the event, which will be held on 24 and 25 January, 2018, in the NIE Office in Brussels, the participants will have a chance to meet with the developers, contractors and manufacturers involved in the projects.

In addition, the participants will get an insight from the Belgian stakeholders in the supply chain strategy, procurement process, project timelines and collaboration opportunities in other projects in Europe, such as in Germany, France, UK and Ireland.

There is no participation fee, but attendance is subject to registration by completing the application form.

UK delegates will need to pay for their own travel and hotel costs and incidentals, while DIT will cover event organisation costs, lunches and networking receptions.

The deadline for applications is 22 December, 2017.

The Belgian developers Parkwind, InControl and Otary recently reached an agreement with the Belgian government on a price of EUR 79/MWh as part of the government’s support scheme.

The 224MW Northwester 2, 246MW Seastar and 246MW Mermaid will be built between 2018 and 2020 and for a much lower level of support than previous wind farms.
