According to RCG, GRIP: Offshore Wind provides real-time critical data that can be targeted towards client needs, and which allows users to query and extract data by country, project, participant, status, associated infrastructure, among other items, permitting in-depth comparisons and other types of data analysis.

Other technologies are expected to be added to the GRIP platform soon, the company said, adding that the intelligence is gathered from its network of industry contacts, government publications, regulators, publicly available company information, financial markets, and media sources.

“Gathering reliable information on multiple projects can be time-consuming and costly and the results are often inaccurate. That’s why we created GRIP,” Lee Clarke, Chief Operating Officer at RCG, said.

“We apply our analytical workflow and deep industry experience to assess the quality of the data before incorporating information into our proprietary databases and forecasting models. Through GRIP, we are delivering a new way of accessing data and forecasts that will give our customers faster and higher quality information to support growth in their businesses.”

In addition, the platform offers subscription services which unlock comprehensive, verified project data, forecasting, and the ability export data.

The product announcement comes shortly after RCG established The Renewables Consulting Group (Taiwan) Ltd. and opened an office in Taiwan in order to serve the regional renewable energy market.
