Fred. Olsen Windcarrier will transport and install 56 MHI Vestas 8MW turbines at the site located some 57 kilometres off the north-west coast of Germany.

The turbines will be installed on 20 suction bucket jacket foundations and 36 monopile foundations, the first of which was installed in early March.

The Borkum Riffgrund 2 offshore wind farm is scheduled for commissioning in 2019.
