The collaboration will see The Wind Technicians provide technicians, riggers, welders, site assistants, warehouse employees and document controllers to support Atlas Professionals with requirements and tenders for the European market, with emphasis on the Netherlands.

Earlier this year, Atlas Professionals opened a recruitment hub in Vlissingen, which the company expects will enable close developments in Zeeland’s wind industry.

According to the recruitment company, the growing wind sector has a direct impact on the labor market, with about 4,000 people currently working in the Dutch wind industry and the number expected to grow to more than 12,000 by 2023.

Founded a year ago by a consortium of local employment agencies, The Wind Technicians provides training for offshore wind turbine mechanics in a two-week program in which GWO training and BTT (technical training) is conducted or in a program which offers job-to-job guidance and wind technician training courses in the evening.

“The collaboration with Atlas Professionals is a nice addition to our service; the training of offshore windmill mechanics. In this way we can make use of Atlas Professionals large network and years of experience in the global wind industry,” Ernst-Dick Meyjes, Account Manager at The Wind Technicians.
