JDR Cable Systems has completed the termination and testing of east section inter-array cables at the Hornsea Project One offshore wind farm.

JDR conducted the work from the service operations vessel (SOV) Edda Mistral and will now focus on completing the western cluster of the 1.2GW project, which represents the final phase.

Ørsted and JDR teams are working on the SOV Acta Orion, with the work expected to be finalized this summer.

Hornsea Project One will comprise 174 Siemens Gamesa 7MW turbines connected to three offshore substations and a reactive compensation substation (RCS).

Turbine installation is ongoing and the first turbines have already started delivering power . The 1.2GW offshore wind farm is expected to be completed in 2020.
