The contract value is projected to fall within the range of EUR 114 – 130 million, with installation due to commence in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Located 15 kilometres off the East Coast of Scotland in the North Sea, Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm is planned to generate enough renewable energy to power the equivalent of approximately 1.6 million UK homes.

For the execution of this work, Cadeler will utilise one of its two newbuild M-class installation vessels, the first of which was launched this month at Hanwha Ocean’s shipyard in South Korea.

The vessel, designed by Gusto MSC, features a 2,600-tonne leg encircling crane supplied by Huisman Equipment.

The overall duration of the project is estimated to be around 249 days.

The XXL monopiles that will hold Vestas’ 15 MW wind turbines will be supplied by Chinese manufacturers Dajin Offshore Heavy Industry and Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard Heavy Industry (GWSHI).

Fabrication of the units is due to commence in late 2024 with delivery of the project scheduled for late 2025.
