Ramboll, Projmors Join Bałtyk 1 Offshore Wind Team

Business & Finance

Polenergia and Equinor have signed an agreement with a consortium of Ramboll and Projmors for consulting services related to the design works and securing all necessary permits for the construction of the Bałtyk 1 offshore wind project in Poland.

The contract covers the entire Bałtyk 1 project until it reaches the “ready-to-build” status.

Bałtyk 1, with a planned capacity of 1,560 MW, is the largest offshore wind farm under construction in the Baltic Sea.

Located approximately 81 kilometres from the Polish coast, the project is being prepared for auction in Poland in 2025.

So far, the wind farm has obtained permits for laying and maintaining cables in the offshore part, as well as a grid connection agreement with the transmission system operator.

The 1,560 MW offshore wind farm is one of the three projects that Polenergia and Equinor are jointly developing in the Baltic Sea, the other two being Bałtyk II and Bałtyk III.

With Bałtyk II and Bałtyk III each having a 720 MW capacity, the three offshore wind farms will have a total installed capacity of 3 GW.
