After the recent success of Nordic Yards Warnemünde in this field, it is now Nordic Yards Wismar who is delighted to be awarded “TOP Apprenticeship Company 2011”.

The Schwerin Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) handed over the quality seal to the yard on 19th April for its high quality of training and education. The criteria for the award of the title included continuity and special initiatives in the field of training and education, drop-out rates and the examination results of the apprentices. It is the second time in succession that the yard has won this award.

“Well-trained and committed young employees are crucial for Nordic Yards in order to continue producing high-quality products. We are proud that both company locations have been honoured with this quality seal – and we will continue to invest in first-class apprenticeships in the future,” says Personnel Manager Björn Cleven.

At the moment, 19 apprentices are being trained in three different disciplines in Wismar. In September, 20 more will be taken on and a further 20 in Warnemünde.
