As North Devon currently has no operational offshore wind farm, ESB has allowed a training mission to RMB Chivenor’s search and rescue flight crews on its Fullabrook Wind Farm.
The RAF search and rescue flight crews carried out the mission with Chivenor’s helicopter on Thursday, practicing winching crew members from the turbines, This is North Devon news site reports.
“This exercise was of mutual training benefit and ESB were delighted to be able to facilitate the RAF in this instance,” said a spokesperson for ESB .
