‘Innovation’ Arrives at Aalborg Harbour

Wind Farm Update

'Innovation' Arrives at Quay by Bladt Industries

The jack-up vessel Innovation, which is going to pick up foundations for Westermost Rough Offshore Windfarm in the British part of the North Sea, called yesterday at Aalborg Harbour.

With a loading capacity of 8000 tonnes and a high performance 1500-tonne crane, Innovation is one of the largest specialized vessels to ever arrive at Aalborg Harbour. The jack-up vessel has been hired for the job due to the size of the foundations, which are among the largest that Bladt Industries has ever fabricated.

However, this will not be the only time that Innovation will come by Bladt Industries. The first visit will be followed by another six, before all thirty five 6MW wind turbines are ready for use in the North Sea.
