BOW Loads Out Jacket Piles for Sylwin

Bow Terminal had their first load out of  jacket piles for the project Sylwin last Monday.

The 106-meter jacket piles were built at the Nordic Yards, where the top side and platform of the substation was built.

Last year, Seaway Heavy Lifting won a contract to transport and install the Sylwin Alpha jacket and transmission station.

The transformer platform will be installed in the North Sea, about 70 kilometres west of Sylt, and will transform and transmit to the German mainland up to 864 megawatts of energy generated by the DanTysk and Butendiek wind farms.

The second jacket piles load out is scheduled for today.
