After Damen delivered the vessel to its owner Bibby Marine Services in August, Bibby WaveMaster 1 was hired by James Fisher Marine Services (JFMS) to support the construction of the Galloper offshore wind farm.

Around mid-September, the vessel departed from Harwich to work on the 336MW UK offshore wind farm.

Mark Whitehead, Commercial Manager at Bibby Marine Services, said: “It is fantastic that in just a few weeks we have hit this milestone. Our vessel gives personnel a completely step-less walk-to-work. Their jobs are hard enough without asking them to lug themselves and kit up flights of stairs, on the WaveMaster 1 we have taken care of that for them providing a lift and warehouse support with powered trolleys.”

Under the contract with JFMS, Bibby WaveMaster 1 is chartered for a three-month period with options to extend to support the offshore commissioning phase.
