At the event, the companies will provide a high-level look at the packages that will be available on the Sofia project when Siemens Gamesa’s procurement process begins in 2023.

This will cover areas such as transport, vessels, lifting and logistics, civil works and on-site equipment, numerous goods and support services such as PPE and engineering, and field and consultancy.

Siemens Gamesa will give a summary of work scopes, timeframes, and requirements for the Sofia project.

The developer of the 1.4 GW offshore wind farm, RWE Renewables, and its Tier 1 contractors together launched a series of supply chain events last year to showcase contract opportunities during the construction of the project.

As part of the event series, three webinars have already been held, including the ones held last year by Van Oord, the EPCI contractor for the project’s foundations and inter-array cables, GE for the project’s HVDC transmission system, and Prysmian for export cables.
