Etha, Sitowise, and Pondera Partner on Finnish Offshore Wind

Etha, Sitowise, and Netherlands-based Pondera have joined forces to advance Finnish offshore wind projects, providing a range of services throughout the project lifecycle.

Sitowise, a building and infrastructure construction consultancy company, has experience with environmental studies, constructability conditions studies, and solutions for offshore wind projects in Finland.

Etha provides techno-commercial wind power development services in Finland. Pondera has a long track record and international knowledge in the full life cycle of offshore wind, from early-stage planning to tendering and construction, said Etha.

The partnership offers services and tools ranging from renewable energy policy studies to renewable energy project development, including environmental, technical, and commercial studies as well as tender management and bidding support.

The cooperation also strengthens the partners’ position as a leading consultancy group by being able to provide extensive offshore wind services in the Finnish market”, said Ben Talus Losvik, Business Development Manager at Etha.

In August 2024, Finland’s Ministry of Economic Affairs published an action plan intended to boost the development of the offshore wind sector in the country.

The action plan outlines 17 proposals, emphasizing that the development of offshore wind farms will be driven by market conditions.
